Mrs. Allan Card was buried on Tuesday in Oak Hill Cemetery; the funeral was at 1:30 p.m. at the Houts
Funeral Home.

Mrs. Card was born Clara Idella Ackerson on may 16, 1867 in Butler county, daughter of Mr. And Mrs.
Hiram and Sophia Ackerson. She had spent all her life in Parkersburg. She was married to Allan Card on
August 25, 1883 and he preceded her in death on May 21, 1948. She leaves the following children: Ernest
and Mrs. Clyde Wilson of Parkersburg, James of New Hartford, Mrs. Mae Rich of Grand Rapids, 21
grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson and Mrs. Cora Reccord of
Waterloo. She was also preceded by one son, three brothers and two sisters.

Elk Run Heights - Services for Stanley D. Card, 42, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Elk Run Heights, will be 1:30
p.m. Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Church, Cedar Rapids, with burial in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids,
with military rites.

Mr. Card died of a cerebral hemorrhage Wednesday night (Ja. 6) at Mercy Hospital, Cedar Rapids.

He was born April 17, 1945, in Waterloo, son of Gale and Mildred Card. He married Carmen Johnson Aug.
14, 1965, in Waterloo.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam war, stationed in Saigon from November 1965 to
November 1968.

He was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. for 16 years in Waterloo and the last 2 ½ years in Cedar
Rapids.

Survivors include his wife of 67 Clive Drive, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Alycia Card Andreasen of Cedar
Rapids and Nicole at home; his parents of Bristow.

Friends may call until 9 p.,. today at Teahen Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, and for an hour before services
Saturday at the church.

Ernest Card - Parkersburg Eclipse, January 21, 1974
Ernest Card, son of Allen and Clara Ackerson Card, was born near Parkersburg on July 11, 1884. He was
united in marriage on September 24, 1904 with Miss Dora Owen. They established their home in Parkersburg
where Ernest operated a dray line and pursued other jobs as a laborer. His wife passed away on April 23,
1927. He continued to make his home in Parkersburg until about 20 months ago when he became a resident
at the Allison Manor nursing Home at Allison, Iowa.

On December 11th, 1973 he was admitted as a patient at Allen Memorial Hospital at Waterloo where he
passed away on Thursday afternoon. January 17th at the age of 89.

He was preceded in death by his wife, 1 daughter Vivian; his parents, 2 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are 2
sons, Kenneth of New Hampton, Iowa and Victor of Fountain Valley, California; 3 daughter, Thelma (Mrs.
George DeVries) of Parkersburg; Irene (Mrs. L. A. Doughtery) of Hemet, California, and Alice (Mrs. H. S.
Kaufman) of Waterloo; 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 2 sisters,
Mrs. Herb Ehrhorn and Mrs. Henry Rich both of Grand Rapids, Minnesota and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, January 21st, at the Congregational Church with Rev. Daniel
Meiners officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery in Parkersburg.

Funeral services are bing planned for Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. at the Burton Ave. Baptist church for Mrs.
Dora A. Card, 75, formerly of 2406 E. 4th St., who died at 11:40 a.m. Wednesday at the Parkview Gardens
Nursing Home.

The Rev. David Smith will officiate. Friends may call at the Parrott & Wood funeral home.

Mrs. Card died of arteriosclerosis and complications.

She was born on May 1, 1892, near New Hartford, the daughter of Jens and Bengts Olson Klodt. She was
married to Clarence Card on Sept. 27, 1911 in Grundy County.

The couple farmed in Iowa in Butler and Grundy counties prior to moving to Waterloo in 1936. At that time
Mrs. Card became employed by the Rath Packing company and continued her employment there until the age
of retirement.

Mrs. Card was a member of the Burton Avenue Baptist church.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Gordon of Plainfiled; one daughter, Mrs. Evertt Nelson 210 Cottage
Grove. She is also survived by two brothers, Olie Klodt of New Hartford and Swen Klodt of Twin Falls,
Idaho; five sisters; Mrs. Ellen Rockey; Mrs. Anna Crowston; and Mrs. Christina Court, all of Cedar Falls;
Mrs. Mary Pauline Wiley of Allison; three grandchildren and tow great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents and one brother.
Allen Card, 91, Buried Tuesday - May 21, 1948
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Houts funeral home for Allen Card, 91, who passed away Friday with
Rev. J. Lower in charge. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Allen Card was born March 2, 1857 in Wisconsin (note: was actually born in Butler County, his parents
moved from Wisconsin in 1856). And married Clara Ackerson, August 25, 1883.

He leaves his wife, five children, Ernest and Mrys. Clyde Wilson, Parkersburg; James, New Hartford; Mrs.
Henry Rich, Bovey, Minn.; Mrs. Herbert Erhorn, Grand Rapids, Minn.; two brothers Fred, Eau Claire, Wi.;
and Frank, Spicer Minn.; 22 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
