Ira L. Bloomfield - Parkersburg Eclipse Dec. 1, 1965
Beaver Gleanings - Ira L. Bloomfield, son of Harvey and Ester Bloomfield was born February 21, 1883 in
Grundy County. As an infant, his parents moved to Decorah, where he grew up and made his home. During his
stay in Decorah, he was a butcher by trade. He was united in marriage to Clara Hersey, where they lived in
Decorah for the next ten years and then moved to the present farm east of Sinclair, in 1912, where he made his
home with his son and daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 2 brothers, a grand daughter
and great grandson. Surviving are his son, Iver, daughter, Naomi, 1 brother, Claire of Dayton, Ohio; 2 sisters,
Gladys Hall, Twin Valley, Minnesota, Cara Deyo, Minneapolis, Minn; two grandson, LaVerne and Larry
Atteberry, both in the Navy, three great grandsons and one great grand daughter.

Funeral services for Ira Bloomfield will be Thursday, Dec. 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the Engelkes Funeral Home.
Interment will be in Codner's Cemetery in Sinclair.
Harm Bronsema - Parkersburg Eclipse, August 14, 1963
Harm Bronsema, son of Bruno and Johanna Bronsema, was born on October 4, 1880 in the Netherlands.
When he was 9 years of age the family came to America. On February 3, 1904 he was married to Miss Lena
Reints and the Bronsema's farmed for many years in the Parkersburg vicinity until they retired to Parkersburg
28 years ago.

He had been in failing health and passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, August 14th, at the age of
82 years, 10 months, and 10 days.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Surviving are his wife, 3 sons,
Jack, Parkersburg; 2 daughters, Johanna (Mrs. Richard Kadous) and Katherine, (Mrs. Vernon Card) both of
Parkersburg. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Mrs. Joe Kettwig and Mrs. Karl Heyenga
both of Parkersburg. Also read in the Bronsema home were a niece and nephew, Mrs. Angeline Kadous of
Shell Rick, Iowa and Charles Hartgrave of Austin Minnesota.

Funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon, August 17th at the Congregational Church with Rev. Nevin
Haines officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Lena (Reints) Bronsema - Parkersburg Eclipse,. Mar 15, 1972
Mrs. Lena Bronsema, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Reints, was born on February 26, 1883 on a farm north
of Parkersburg. She was united in marriage with Harm Bronsema on February 3, 1904 and the family farmed
in the Parkersburg vicinity until they retired and moved to Parkersburg in 1936. She was affiliated with the
Parkersburg Congregational Church and was a faithful attendant for many years of the ladies adult Sunday
School class. Following the death of her husband in 1963 she has continued to make her home in
Parkersburg.

On Friday morning, March 10th, she sustained a fall at her home and was taken to the Allen Memorial Hospital
at Waterloo where she died on Saturday morning at the age of 89 years and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter, Angeline; 1 son, Edo; 4 grandchildren; 4
brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 2 sons, Jack and Bruno; 2 daughters, Johanna (Mrs. Dick Kadous) and
Katherine (Mrs. Vernon Card) all of Parkersburg; 9 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great
grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Gersema of Shell Rock; 1 foster daughter, Mrs. Angeline Kadous of Shell Rock
and 1 foster son, Charles Hartgrave of Austin, Minnesota and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, March 14th, at the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Nevin
Haines of the Parkersburg Congregational Church officiating. Interment was made in Oak Hill Cemetery at
Parkersburg.
Norman Arthur Card Sr.
Norman Arthur Card Sr., 203 Wright St., Parkersburg died at 1:45 p.m. Monday at Allen Memorial Hospital
where he had been a patient about thirty days, suffering from cancer. He was 74 years, 7 months and 16 days
of age.
He was born the son of Charles and Katie Sharp Card, August 8, 1905 in Parkersburg where he has lived his
entire life. He attended Parkersburg schools and married Agnes Lamb on August 22, 1930 in St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Parkersburg.

He had worked for the railroad, WPA, Pillsbury Company at Waterloo, groundskeeper at Beaver Meadows
and the State Conservation Commission. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife Agnes; one son Norman Card of Iowa Falls, one daughter, Mrs. Al (Elizabeth)
Johnson, New Hartford. Four grandchildren: Michelle and Mike Card, Shirley and Theresa Johnson. He was
preceded by his parents and one grandson, Dewey Johnson.

Rosary services will be at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at Schwartz-Engelkes Funeral Home. Funeral services will
be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick's Church. Casket bearers will be Herschel Ohl, Dean Lamb, William
Iverson, Ivan Regnold, Charles Covell and James Spain. Father Zee will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
